Compare and Contrast

In these images you can see how quickly the flood-waters subsided. The first two pairs of photos were taken two days apart (on the Friday and Sunday) but the last pair were taken only a day apart.

Here can be seen the floodwater that blocked the main route out of the village for two days. The water on this side of the bridge (which can be seen in the far distance) was well above knee-height, but it was on the other side of the bridge where the deepest water was. At that point if you waded through it would reach your vital areas.

A personal tragedy for the owners of these mobile homes / holiday homes which were washed off their foundations into the river.
